Downtown Business Association Names Winners of 2^nd Annual
“Christmas on Main Street” Downtown Window Decorating Contest
STUART, FL – December 22, 2024 – The Downtown Business Association (DBA) of Stuart has announced the winners of its 2^ndannual holiday window decorating contest. Merchants were evaluated based on their creativity, holiday spirit and the visual impact of the window displays. New this year, judges reviewed all displays twice – once in daylight, and once after dark to evaluate the effect of holiday lighting. First place went to Argento Jewelry and Saxx Handbags for their joint window display on Osceola Street. The sister businesses highlighted their adjacent store fronts with striking, matching oversized window decals. Argento Jewelery received an honorable mention in the 2010 competition. This year they are joined by honorable mentions, Flagler Avenue Jewelry & Gifts and Luna Italian Restaurant.

“Our judges were looking for eye-catching windows that really invited shoppers to come in,” said DBA President, Patty O’Connell. “Oversized displays, bright lights, and beautiful merchandising can all work to reach out to a potential customer and draw them into a business.” Contest judges this year were DBA Board Member, Steve Binder, owner or Rare Earth Gallery, Stuart Main Street President, Mark Brechbill, and Stuart City Manager, Paul Nicoletti. The windows were judged in early December and winners will be recognized at the Downtown Business Association’s January meeting.
